Ok, so I have this serious addiction, I cannot go to the feed store and walk out without any chicks.
I went Thursday and got what I’m hoping are Splash silkies. I know they’re silkies, I’m pretty sure they are splash, because they’re yellow and gray right now, I know the yellow will turn white but yeah I’m hoping they are splash. Meet Tic and Toc

I now have 2-3 day old babies 10-6 day old babies 2-3 week Polish 3-7 week old babies one that’s three months and 5 adults silkies, 1 adult polish, 1 adult Black Cochin, Oh yeah, I have 11 sizzle eggs in incubator, (they were shipped, so 50% hatch )
What’s funny is that I snuck the two newest ones into the Brooder with the six day old ones and my husband didn’t notice, these are smaller and completely different colors. After the last batch he told me NO MORE, then I went and got the 2 Polish and he told me NO MORE, then I got the sizzle eggs and he told me ABSOLUTELY NO MORE, so the last 2 I had to sneak in.
I also have my BSLs, SLWs, and my Cuckoo Marans.
Chicken math anyone???? LOL

Sounds amateur... it doesn't include ducks, bunnies, goats, sheep and more!

Seriously though... our husbands want desperately for us to be happy... take pitty on him and slow your roll.

I wasn't told no... but I did do all that math stuff... and it isn't completely over as I have an indoor mini pig as we speak. But another BYC'er I got chicks from early on had warned me about exhaustion as she had narrowed down from the MANY breeds to just few... and oh boy... after rolling hatches EVERY week last year... they were right, I'm tired! Answer... better hatch some more, lol!

Them chicks are cuties.. most likely splash... sometimes easy to confuse with lavender, but highly unlikely from the feed store.

I do have 2 ducks, Draka, Black Swedish, and Duckles, a White Pekin. 3 dogs, 90lb black shepherd, 30 lb mixed bird dog,(yeah, I know lol), and a chihuahua. I think I’m good (for a little while at least)
