We recently lost our Rhode Rock hen to old age but have just bought a new eglu go to put the remaining Caulder Ranger in and bought just yesterday a 7wk old white star hen and 8wk old cream legbar to keep the flock going. Because they're so young they have yet to get used to the fact that the door leads outside and yes they can go there!, but they are so funny and have distinct personality's already.
Know all I have to do is get them used to the great outdoors and gradually introduce them to our existing hen, our working cocker spaniel (who already thinks they're hers) and the cat. Wish me luck we've never had hens this young before so it's a new learning curve.
