2 New Hatchlings Not Thriving

13 is the name of one chick or 13 different chicks?
I've found if chicks won't drink or eat they may not be able to see...
....sticky chicks eyes can be sealed shut.

13 is the name of the chick, sorry. The other 9 are currently in a separate brooder, eating and drinking just fine. Thirteen is now alone in their own brooder, as Tiny passed. 13 has had their eyes open on many occasions. 13 is also the egg that the other chicks helped to hatch by pecking at it... so, I'm worried.

Hmmm....understand separating, but only as last resort,
the other chicks activity can stimulate the lagging ones.
If I have a chick that doesn't feed on it's own by day 3 or so, I usually euthanize.
Chances are that something is wrong inside and it won't thrive anyway.

DH culled Tiny last night, and Thirteen didn't make it through the night, even though he was up and chirping and had some nutridrench. Tiny hatched with what looked like an unabsorbed yolk sac, that looked infected (per lazy gardener), so we assume that was his issue. Thirteen was an *assisted* hatch, ie: the other chickies helped peck him out of his shell, I'm sure well before he was ready. They had pecked another pipped shell and it ended up quitting, and they pecked another chick until they pulled it's insides out through it's vent... so, a weirdly violent batch it seems. I hadn't seen this behavior in prior hatches.
