2 of my 7 hens isn't going up to roost like they used to.....

Until the last few nights, the girls are always up in the house by around 8:30pm or so. The last few nights, 2 of the hens (the same ones) are just hanging out on the edge of their sand box...not heading up to the coop. So, I have to go in and get them and put them away. Any idea why they might be doing this? They are two of the bigger girls and are toward the top of the pecking order so I don't think they are getting kicked out. Is this normal?

It seems like the older they get the longer they take to call it a night, why don't you watch them to see what time they actually go in? Maybe they like to catch a few mor bugs before bedtime
