2 of my beloved Hens dead after Permectrin treatment for mites!!! :(

Soap or detergent is used to kill large numbers of starlings and other blackbird populations when their roosts become to crowed and their droppings become a public health threat. The roosts are sprayed with the detergent at dark and hopefully right before a rain. The shampoo or detergent strips the oils off of the starlings feathers and a night of roosting in the rain and shivering on a tree limb kills the nuisance birds grave yard dead.

Has any of you ever considered what you are doing when you bathe your chickens? Besides, chickens only like to wallow in the dirt to get clean.

Bathing a bird covered in mites is a good way to kill them. Same goes for using a permethrin spray.

*Please do not use spray or bath birds with serious infestations, use a powder instead.*
