I know it's probably too early for Polish, but I have zero experience with them and I'm getting some rooster vibes from the white crested blue. They are almost 6 weeks old. I think the silver laced looks like a pullet so far. They're both pretty weird. 😂

Hey there, I was just wondering if there was anyone who could help me figure out maybe what genders I’ve got? I’m a first time Polish owner! I have 3 gold polish & 2 white crested blues 😬 they are 5 weeks old today. I have pulled them all out and from what I can tell all but one of the white crested blues seem to have rounded crest feathers with the one white crested blue having kind of pointed feathers (also has more blue in the crest) thank you to anyone who might be able to help me! 😊

It's still early, but generally that mohawk look in the gold one means you have a cockerel. For the blue one, keep an eye on its wattles. If they start developing size and color before 12 weeks, that usually means you have a cockerel with the beardless Polish varieties like your white crested blue. The gold is bearded so wattle development won't work as a gender indicator for that one.

Okay, darn! I was hoping for more females 🤷🏼‍♀️ but that’s okay I still love them & will hold out hope that just maybe at least one of my gold’s will be female 😂

Also thank you!!

Update: 12 weeks old

The white crested blue is def a roo, but now I'm having some panic about the silver laced. She's getting a few pointy looking saddle feathers, but only on one side.... 🤔 Started to get some comb and wattles, but not a lot of wattles compared to the WCB roo. What do we think now? I drew an arrow to the feathers concerning me.

For comparison, this is the WCB roo nearly 3 weeks ago, so at 9 weeks old. I don't have more recent pics because he was injured by the other chickens, and looks like crap at the moment. He still doesn't have any red comb though
