2 questions my chickens won't lay eggs and anther HELP,!!!!

I have a couple of questions number 1 is I recently got 3 hens and 1 rooster but I got them from a friend in town so I had to transport them to my town which is like 16 miles away but my hens won't lay eggs no more why it's bugging me and my other question is my rooster won't roost and my other question is since I have 3 hens and a rooster will the rooster fertilize a egg PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

hi! Curtis, Welcome! - there is a lot of good info on this site about laying behaviors - ie: how old are the hens?; are they molting?; are they just still adjusting to move/new feed? - check 'Chickens 101'. I am not sure what you mean by rooster roosting? he may just be adjusting too. and yes - a rooster in the house means fertile eggs pretty likely but they are not going to develop chicks unless one of the hens gos 'broody' and incubates them - see the threads about raising chicks.

Hi. A move is stressful for chickens. When hens are stressed they slow down and even stop laying. When they settle in and come to think of the new place as home they should start laying.
