1. In Blue x Splash= 50% Blue, 50% Splash offspring........................Does the blue have to be a rooster?

2. What would the results of a Black x Blue ?

Hope someone can clarify and thanks so for the help.

Happy New Years!

I can answer question one. My splash was the roo, my blue the hen and I got equal numbers of splash and blue. I don't thing sex matters in splash/blue or other bbs matings.

The percentages are not sex-linked so it would not have to be a blue roo.
black x blue is 50%x50% of each, the 50% 25% 25% is for blue x blue.

It doesnt seem small hatches hold true to this. Of my blue blue crosses from one pair this summer I needed chicks from I have ALL splashes
one black and one blue offspring.

I'm confused. On another thread you said Black X Blue = 50%black & 50% Blue?

Here is the chart again so no one is confused-

blue x blue = 50% blue, 25% black, 25% splash
blue x splash = 50% blue, 50% splash
blue x black = 50% blue, 50% black
splash x black = 100% blue
splash x splash = 100% splash
black x black = 100% black

NYReds you are correct.

Black X splash 100 per blue
Black X blue 50per. black 50 per. blu.
Blue X blue 50 per. blue 25 per. black 25 per splash
Splash X blue 50 per. blue 50 per. splash
Splash X splash all splash

So, to answer question # 1 .... It doesn't matter which one is the rooster. Correct? This table simply signifies the colors, and it doesn't matter which is hen ane which is roo. Is this correct?
