Do indoor chickens need a specific arrangement to sleep? It’s the middle of the night, I heard a noise and checked my camera and my chicken is wide awake. It may be due to her balance issues because she has splayed legs- she may have to stay awake to stay comfortable. Should I build her some sort of night coop or sling to help her sleep?
The other question I have is a bit of a weird one. The same chicken is a silkie so obviously can’t fly. However, she uses her wings quite a lot for mobility because her legs don’t work too well, so her wing muscles are strong. Would it be effective to attach some real/larger feathers to the quills that her flight feathers would be? I feel it would help her get around a lot better.

It's normal for chickens to wake up throughout the night. I get plenty of glowy eyeballs when I check my coop cam no matter what time of night it is. As long as she can safely sit/lie where you have her at night (aka not falling off a roost bar), then no need to change anything.

I don't think there's any way to attach feathers to a chicken... if she can get around decently as she is by flapping to drive herself forward, I wouldn't worry about it.
