I have 2 hen ring neck pheasants that laid and sat on there eggs and hatched 14 1 died i need to get ride of them by winter for those who don't know the platinum is a rare color mutation in the ring neck strain the only homes or for pet or aviary birds the hens are very good mother if you let them try if you find eggs in random places take those but if you find on in a tucked away spot she most likely will sit. but hens had fertility rate of 15/15 eggs where fertile the other one had 7/7 fertility rate please I need a good loving home for them
the 6 ring neck babies where hatched at my grandparents house with pheasants i was doing for a project we took the babies and hand raised them the are very friendly (rooster are at least) they eat meal works,lettuces,and scratch grain right out of my hand. also they must be going to a home for pets. I know that is why the ring neck was brought over was for food but these guys are to friendly for food please must go soon.
these 4 are 1 rooster and 3 hens they where hatched in 19 eggs clutch there mother is raising 13 shared babies out of the 19 eggs 7 hatched,4 survived,and only 1 egg was not fertile. the rooster has all the ring neck traits and a platinum strip of feather down the middle of his breast. please only pets they where also hand raised but hatched by there egg mother
I bought 15 bob white chicks and the first night a brand new heat lamp bulb and lamp the bulb broke and we lost one. I had a miss hap with a critter(if you raised BOB WHITES you know what I mean) i have 11 left but only 2 pairs and i think they want sit on eggs cause there are to many males. they are imprinted on and make the best noises and are so funny please pets only wold like to be gone before winter but can hold till spring
