1 is a Rhode Island Red rooster, Pidgey. He is aggressive towards other chickens but it could be because he’s high on the pecking order.

1 is a Light Brahma, Big Waddles. He is sweet and let you hold him.

Can get pictures of them both tomorrow. We are needing to rehome as soon as possible; took many roos for the amount of hens we have.

Wow I wanted to offer to take one but my hens tops the scales at 4-4.5 pounds at full maturity. My Los Fresnos Feed Store was selling completely mature RIR Hens and Roos this morning. I couldn't get over how large they were in comparison to my game breed.

I can see how big the RIR is in weight tomorrow morning. He isn’t that big about the same size as Barred Rocks we use to have. The Brahma will be huge though. They can get 2ft tall and weigh up to 18lbs.

Yes barred rocks are also huge compared to a 4.5-5 pound chicken they had those as well. I wish you the best but I don;t think our flocks would ever be a good match, so am willing to say I am a bad prospective home. I really do wish you the best of luck with them.

Also I would suggest craigslisting them as I have gotten rid of three roos using that within 2-3 hours.

edit I would definately take the chance on one of those large roos if you could tell me they killed three red tailed hawks this winter!

The RIR is definitely a protector. He even goes up against my 30lb Aussie if she tries to herd the flock. Haha. I can measure him tomorrow though.

I’ll definitely try Craigslist though.

There is a guy NE of houston who might be interested, naturally I cannot speak for @RUNuts but he keeps RIR's.

edit- also @KikisGirls is in that region as well. I am not clear on her goals with her flock.
