I just got a 9 month old pair of Sebastopol Geese a little over a week ago. Yippee! She has laid 2 eggs already! She was sitting on them this am too, but I took them when she got up to eat. (I felt guilty, but I don't want any baby geese right now. Maybe soon.) This gal has laid fertile eggs from what her former owner has told me. She has babies developing now at different homes (those who got her first eggs laid this spring.)
So I'll ship 2 (and an extra if she lays more) in a Priority Flat Rate box- well protected and wrapped individually, well padded. I'll send you the delivery confirmation # so you can track it too. Shipping will be $11 to anywhere in the US (not Hawaii though.)
See my other pics here...Sammy and Sadie came from Hattricksilkies originally.
These 2 pics were taken last night...
Sadie is a Saddleback- I have vet wrap over a boo boo from Sammy's loving up on her.

I've got one of her eggs at my house developing perfectly. I did obtain her egg from her former owner but the pair is definately fertile.

cool! Keep us posted please? I do want to let Sadie set and hatch some babes herself, but not just yet. I want more eggs first and little goslings later on. I was amazed and happy to see 2 eggs in there this am, when she's just been here barely a week! What a nice girl she is and he's such a gentleman...he didn't like it when I took the vet wrap off of her this evening, that was HIS girl! (Her sore looks better and the scab is gone- no blood- hopefully feathers will grow back quickly.

I did want to add- I've found out that any babies from these two can turn out to be all White or Saddlebacks....They both have blue eyes too. They both are curly breasted also. I'll put an extra egg in too as long as she continues to lay them.

Hopefully he wont be so rough on her neck this time. I believe he got a time out for that lol. My egg goes into lockdown on the 28th of this month. I just hatched out 3 Pilgrim Geese that were supposed to be for a friend but she gave them to me. I may wait and see what I have hatch (male or female) and try to find an opposite next year. Good luck with your sale.

What color is on Sammies back? It almost looks lavendar in the picture...do you have anymore pics?

Sammy is all white- Sadie is a Saddleback. I asked on another thread when I got them if she was a splash or SB, and was told SB. Here are a few more pix of them...

More than likely the baby will be white but carrying the saddleback gene. I have a couple who's mother is a saddleback but the father is white. They feathered out white but you could see that they had saddleback genes by their beak.

Looks like they will through some good babies. Wonder if they will be white or Saddle?

both....I've read up on this potential X and this is what I found on the Sebbie forum:

White Gander x saddleback goose =
All white males with small black flecks & all white females.
All carry the saddleback gene so if you breed a white s.b. carrier
to another s.b. carrier or saddleback they will produce saddleback offspring.

I also wanted to add....drumroll.......a 3rd egg was found today...freshly laid today b/c there was no egg in the nest last night...

It will be sent with the other 2 to whoever wins this auction.
