I have two serama roosters who are in need a new home. I am in south central PA. They are both less than a year old, approx. 6 months. One is entirely all white and the other is a ‘pumpkin latte’ orange color. Both are healthy but are not integrating well with my flock, which is why I’m trying to find new homes for them. I would assume they are both in the B sized category- not super tiny, but not bantam sized big either. There temperaments are a bit skittish, but I believe this is because of being picked on and I feel assured they’ll most likely mellow out if in their own environment.

I’d love to find good loving homes for them. I can post pictures if you’d like.

Please do.

I’ll get those pics for you soon. I should be able to get them up by the end of the week. I’m unable to do so right now.

Thanks, RoosterAreAwesome. I have read that very informative article before. I actually do have a rooster colony already- tried to introduce these two and they got beat up. I took them out immediately- perhaps I didn’t wait long enough?

By "beat up" do you mean feathers pulled out, or bloody combs? Sometimes my roosters take awhile to establish the pecking order, which means the new rooster will have scabs on his comb for a couple weeks until they accept him.

Bloody combs.

But it’s mostly my older roo (in my main flock with the hens) who is bloodied, not these two newbies. I prefer to keep my older Roo. These two seem quite strong, able bodied. They only have a few comb scabs.

My rooster colony is of a four show quality roos. I would prefer to keep these two with them, but when I put them in it gets vicious. I didn’t think it was safe for any of them. If I separate them in a cage within the roo colony, would that help get them used to each other? My rooster colony is very settled, very happy. I love them to bits. I don’t want to have them harmed.

This hatch (these two I’m trying to rehouse) were a surprise- I didn’t plan on having any more (and do not plan to have any more). Sneaky hen had a brood going in a hidden location. So, I’m finding things to be a bit difficult to integrate.
