I don't know about where you live but I would think they would have information especially since they have shows there too. Probably online and you could find some information. I originally went online and found an old copy of the SOP. I used that for many years. The standards really don't change but most often it's when they add new breeds that the APA here acknowledges.
 
Birds that look good may not conform to the SOP here. I have some beautiful birds but they may have a flaw for that breed so if there is a flaw I do my best to breed it out and sometimes just sell the birds or they go into my general population. I do not mix lines. Many people think they need new blood in their lines and actually they may be doing more harm than good. I ask fellow breeders that breed the same lines as I do for their input on different things concerning the birds. I have been to shows as just an observer but mostly as a exhibitor.
 
I do cull most chicks with any deformities, especially if it will affect the chicks life.

Ok I've researched some of the rule and I found a number for the orginiser so I'm going to give them a call in the morning but I'm finding out more and more
I was chatting to a young man who had some 2 month old ducklings that he wanted sex and I need Drake's so I sex them for the Drake's and he said he knew one of the "common" chapions of the shows and I'm just going to give him a shout also in the morning
I've also got one other question anyone know any other byc who are from the UK or Ireland
