2 sick 14 week old chickens

The instrutions on your bottle are for cattle, not chickens... Chickens get twice the dose of cattle for a severe outbreak.

Cori and Amprol are the same, both are 9.6% Amprolium

"Poultry - as Soon As Caecal Coccidiosis Is Diagnosed, Give 0.024% Amprolium In The Drinking Water For 5 To 7 Days. Continue The Treatment With 0.006% Amprolium Medicated Water For An Additional One To Two Weeks. No Other Source Of Drinking Water Should Be Available To The Birds During This Time."

To prepare 50 gallons of medicated water:
Dosage Level Mixing Directions

  • 0.024% Add one pint (16 fluid ounces) of 9.6% Solution AMPROL to about five gallons of water in a 50-gallon medication barrel. Stir, then add water to the 50 gallon mark. Stir thoroughly.
  • 0.012% Follow same directions as above but use 1/2 pint (8 fluid ounces) of 9.6% Solution AMPROL.
  • 0.006% Follow same directions as above but use 4 fluid ounces of 9.6% Solution AMPROL.

The preventative dose (.006%) for Corid liquid is 1/2 teaspoon per gallon.
The moderate outbreak dose (.012%) for Corid liquid is 1 teaspoon per gallon.
The severe outbreak dose (.024%) for Corid liquid is 2 teaspoons per gallon.

Ok that helps a lot. The other birds seem to be doing well. Maybe a little runny poo but they are all still eating and drinking. We are watching them close and sitting out with them each morning as the free range. So they have 1teaspoon and aren't severe. So for a quart of water for the 2 sick birds it would be 1/2 teaspoon?

Yes, 1/2 teaspoon per quart.

They are seem better. More active. But one still still has runny poo. Not sure which one it is. Should I keep them separate from the other birds for 5 days?
Don't change anything until treatment is done, which at my house would be 5-7 days.
