2 Silkie "hens" I just got?

I was told they layed eggs and they were sitting on eggs when I caught them but I don't know if hens make the ba ba ba bakAAA sound or if its a roo that hasn't quite learned to crow?

hens make that sound but...most of my roosters do also sooo...that still not not answer your question LOL...but to me (if they are old enough to lay) they look like hens.

If I set an egg in their enclosure and they sit on it will that mean they are hens or are roosters broody too? Thankyou!

well if they are broody they might sit on it..but I would not rely on if they take the egg or not...if they are old enough to sit on eggs they are old enough to lay them...give them 3-4 days and if they have not laid an egg by then they are most likely roosters

They are about a year old, I set an egg in their out of curiosity and the bigger one in front sat on it and calmed down... a rooster would do that right haha

I just added some pictures... the one with Kujo the brown/red beat up silkie I am sure it is a female that egg is not hers I set it in their and she sits on it she also gets along with the rooster. The other one is separated because it is crazy haha it was pecking some dried up blood on the other 2 and kept pecking them. This one paced back and forth trying to get to the other cage just wanted to peck the injuries stupid bird ha not as friendly but I still love it and have hope for it. I noticed it's crown is slightly different from the other white silkie it's not round it's more of a comb but this one was banded after she said she saw it lay an egg. I am so confused!!
