Our white silkie went broody 10 days ago and was sitting on 7 eggs. After 4 days our black silkie joined her and the egg count was up to 11. We moved them both 5 days ago to their own coop. We candled the eggs tonight and all seem to be growing (veins visible and even the the growing chick with an air space too.) The silkies are sharing the nest quite well, we check on them twice a day. My question is will they be "sister moms" (labeling courtesy of my witty husband) Or are we in for trouble?

Hiya! Sharing nests can be risky because they may steal each others eggs. Also when the chicks hatch they may fight over them gl!

I would seperate them we have this thing call ed the bb or broody box. All our hens raise there chicks in it . Maybe you could make to seperate nests for the hens!

Should I just Divide the eggs 6 and 5?

When we candled tonight the black one had 9 and the white one had 2?

Ok so our broody box is about 2x2 and has a wire cover. The bottom is laced with straw. We put a feeder and waterer in. We have a current hatch going on. Its a goid way to keep your hen and the chicks safe!
