we found 2 identical soft eggs sorta mushy could they both be from the same hen? Have no idea who layed i think it could be the rhode island red i have been getting 3 eggs a day and we have gotten 3 decent eggs today so i dont think its any of my 3 i have been getting eggs from usually. I dont know if i should put oyster shell out for them since we have younger pullets in with them and they havent started laying yet.

I would keep oyster shell out free choice. They pretty well only eat it if it's needed, and it sure won't hurt. If just started laying, it may take a few tries to get all the equipment lined out and working properly.
