2 Super sweet Pekin Ducks hand raised by a preschool class

I have attached pix of our yard and our new chicken coop. We have two dogs, four outdoor cats, two dwarf goats, a rabbit, a white dove (adopted us) and nine chickens. we have a paddock area that is totally fenced where the two coops are. Goats and dogs are kept separately in diffen areas.

We live on an acre and a quarter and are surrounded on two sides by canals. Lots of ducks visit daily. We have four kids (age 7 to 17) so I think they would be happy here.

oh my goodness, it sounds like a dream come true for me in the ducks. I love your coop and your area sounds amazing. Have you heard from your husband? If he's okay with the adoption?

He is in a class until 6pm and not reachable. I am sure he is going to say I am crazy but will not object. I will email you tonight but I think you can safely plan on a new home for Cosmo and Wanda. Btw, do they fly? I read pekin ducks are usually too heavy to really fly. I have Silkie chickens and they don't fly at all.

They do not fly. I also raised them when I was a child and they were always too fat to fly. These two aren't as plump and can get about a foot off the ground for 5 seconds or so. And that is only if they are really motivated to move somewhere quick...lol

I talked to my husband and he is on board. I would like to get them on Thursday or Friday if that works! Yeah!!
Do they know their names?

Yeah. ..I'm so excited. Wanda knows her name, Cosmo,I can't tell if she does or not. Wanda will actually come up to you, bow her head, in a submissive stance, for you to pet her. Wanda is my $500 duck. When she was about a month old she had an infection in her brain and went through several tests before we found out what it was. After 500 in testing she was given A free prescription for antibiotics. She's been fine since. Given that incident she was babied like crazy and is the most cuddly duck I have ever owned. That being said she will be shy to strangers at first but then realizes I'm not around and warms up to people quickly. I've had duck sitters while we go on vacation and this is what they tell me. Coz has more of a sassy attitude she loves to chase my Labradors and protect them at the same time. My yellow lab is afraid of his own shadow. When I took him to the vet for his checkup I brought Coz for her check up to. She must have sensed the dogs fear and was protecting him from the doctor. It was the funniest thing. either day is fine. Just let me know what works best for you.

They both sound wonderful. Do you think I could transport them in dog/cat crates? Also, we have fed baby ducks non medicated chicken feed and minnows and adults eat car food, goat food, anything we give them. If your girls are on a particular diet or brand, let me know and I will get some in advance.

I have 2 very loving and personable Pekins that need a loving home. They were hatched and raised together by a preschool class and have since been a part of our family for the last year +. They are extremely friendly one of them loves to be held. They are both laying females and have some very delish eggs. We are moving and can not take them. They come with a house/coup, three kiddie pools, food and dishes. They just need a home where they will get lots of love and human contact. They were also raised with 2 labradors and are not afraid of dogs or much else for that matter. We are located in Southwest Florida and would be willing to meet halfway within 50 miles. However I do not have a truck to transport the coup.

I am very interested in your Peking ducks. My Mindy is 6 years and her favorite dick friend left and she has no one to to talk to now If you still have these two pekings please let me know by ringing 941-421-8518
