2 Two Month Old Chicks Fighting?

The long and the short of it is that these two are fighting because.... well because they are chickens. If there is no real damage occurring ignore them. If they get to the point where one or the other or both have a bloody pate pull a little First Aid by greasing up their noggins and in all likelihood they will become bosom buddies until they do it once again.

I already don't do anything to stop them. I just wanted to know why they were fighting.

The BL Polish isn't a cockerel. It was sexed already and confirmed a Pullet.

Bantams don't come sexed. Well, unless you order through MPC and pay an extra $10 per chick or so. Even then vent sexing is only 90% accurate.

I would separate both as most people on this forum would to prevent any further damage especially to its comb.

I have a ride island red who will not let our rooster near her. She could just be a no rooster's please gal.
