2 Week Keets Becoming Tame!

My two week old keets, whom once hated me, are becoming very tame, friendly, and even snuggly! ♡♡♡ They fly up to my arms, shoulder, and hands now to perch and say hello. Thought I'd share a picture of one of my little footballs. Lol.

How often have you been handling them?

Honestly, I haven't made it a point to try to handle them at all. I've kind of allowed them to dictate the relationship. So I handle them whenever they decide to hop onto me. Lol Some days not at all...depends on their mood.

Hmm that is very interested!

I was under the impression from what i've read that in order for them to become tame they need to be handled a few times a day. I wonder if this more passive method isn't better since your not forcing them to be held everyday.

I've read that also. I didn't go that route because of my experience with parrots. You have to let them dictate the relationship on their terms. I went with this mindset for the guineas too.
