Hi guys,

I posted this a couple days under lethargic chick. There hasn’t been much change other than I don’t know that it’s lethargic or more that there’s something wrong with it’s legs.

I did take her to the vet yesterday. He said there was thing wrong with her legs like injury etc. she still has feeling all the way in her toes even though she can’t curl them. She just sits back on her hocks, a little to the side and usually with a leg stuck out front. Sometimes her wings is out as well. He did say it feel like her gizzard is on the wrong side.
She’s quite a bit smaller than the other chicks I got at the same time. But she still pecks at food I put in front of her and will drink when I give her water. She poops fine and I make sure her crop is full before bed and check again that it’s empty in the morning. Her poop looks a little dry in the picture as she’s on a towel at the moment. When I first noticed she was not really moving her poop was watery but now back to normal. It’s so frustrating and upsetting as she was completely fine before this!
The vet said to continue with the b complex and give a drop of e vitamin as well, I have another older chick with crookneck so mentioned I had these on hand.
I am thinking of making up a scrambled eggs mix with broccoli, brewers yeast and maybe some spirulina??? Would I able to give this to this chick as well? She’s only 2 weeks. Is there anything else I can do? At what point do I give up?

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
Two week old lavender sussex

2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Can’t stand or walk properly. Can move it really needs to but walks on hocks using wings and doesn’t move far. Now she’s on her own doesn't rally move at all.

3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
Three days ago

4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
No

5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No

6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
Nothing

7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Will eat crumble if I put it in front of her. Will drink with assistance

8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Normal now. Was runny three days ago when I first noticed the issue

9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
Vitamins in water. Less than quarter of b complex tablet for two days. Some brewers yeast in crumble. A tiny drop of e vitamin last night but not sure how much got in!

10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
Treat myself if possible thought took yo a vet yesterday

11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
Picks attached.

12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
Isolated in a box with a towel

At this tender age, it may well be a simple riboflavin deficiency. Get some vitamin B-100 complex from the vitamin aisle. Use a pill cutter to cut the pill in half, then pry open the little beak and slip the half tablet inside. For good measure, get some vitamin E and give one capsule each day also.

Feed finely minced boiled egg to increase absorption. Do this until the chick is walking normally.
