I have two baby quail, Chippy and Aerlia, who turn 2 weeks old on Christmas day. I need help identifying colours.
The pictures don't do much because of the different lighting, but Chippy is growing in white feathers with light brown bits at the end and Aerlia has really pretty feathers and doesn't look at all like a pharaoh to me, I think she might be a Grau Fee. Chippy looks like a lightly coloured golden Italian, her dad is a golden Manchurian and her mum is a Silver. Aerlia looks more like her mum who I believe to be a Grau Fee or a light Rosetta, everyone gives me different answers for that one. They both have the same dad who is a golden Manchurian.
Sorry if that didn't make much sense, Aerlia kept me up all night because she is thoroughly imprinted on me and wouldn't stop screaming unless she could see me, I ended up having to put their brooder right next to my bed. Chippy used to be imprinted on me but is now scared, she seems to take after her dad.
Here are their pictures.
Aerlia now:
Chippy now:
Newly hatched:
(Newly hatched Chippy looked yellow with very-light brown streaks, looked like a mix of her mum and dad.)
Chippy looks brownish in her pictures but she isn't brown at all.
Thanks in advance

I'm sure there are more that I forgot about.
