Thank you i got a box of free range eggs form marks an Spencer's and put them in a incubator 1 was white egg and the other normal colour so not sure where they come from thank you for ur post mel

'normal colour' meaning brown? White egg is probably a leghorn.

The chicks do look white, so it could be from a white rock or amber link.
Too early to tell gender of course, update in a few weeks.

As to keeping 2 chicks, it would be best to get another couple, sexed perhaps, if possible-- because if one is a rooster it will overmate the hen (if you intend to keep them both).

I see some patterning in the one chick that I did not see in the first photos. They could be mixes. The pattered wing chick might be a Delaware.

You're welcome, keep us posted. Roosters can be noisy, where do you intend to keep them when older?

In my garden but im a single mum of 5 and have 2 dogs ao not sure how they are going to take to them fingers x i can keep them

Iv got them in the livingroom at the mo with me an the kids but the kids love them so much now that i wantto keep them thats y i asked if it was wicked to keep just 2 thanks for getting bk to me as it was my first time with a incubator and got two chicks
