If it’s a black sex-link, he’s a boy. No doubt. Either way, boy, boy, boy.

Thank you and OH BOY! lol. So I think I have them confused, I’m new to this. I did get two black and orange, two all black with white spot and two RR. So I had them confused, my now rooster , but hopefully not his pair!, are BR and the other two are the SL. I hope I have no other cockerels. So now, if you don’t mind me picking your brain, is it ok to leave him in with the girls? Also, any tips on corrections? I like to get in there and talk to them and pet them, esp my RRs are so sweet, but he is so aggressive towards me!

You can also try giving them some stimulation. Aka hang a blank/old cd from the lid. Creat a small pen they can go out into in the yard so they can scratch around.
I also think it could be a rooster.
thank you! We have a coop with a smallish yard attached, ready to go for when they are a bit older. we keep thinking we will probably enlarge the yard area At least before they move out there. Right now we just built a large brooder (yesterday) so now they have plenty of room. They love it! I have seen alot of ideas on entertainment for them and will work on that next. Thanks for the ideas! I guess I have a Roo. Bummer kinda, but ok.

You can. I would recommend handling him daily, but either don’t pick up a female chick unless you are already holding him, or correct him if he attacks. Make sure he knows you are boss.

I did stop picking up my hens as of yesterday, which is sad, my Henny Penny is so sweet and loves her pets. And when he charged at my hand this morning I held still and he just came up and stared at it. I told him to knock off his crap or he is a goner. He did peck but softly. I just keep reading and everyone has different ideas for correcting them. It’s a bit confusing. Thank you for your help.
