2 week old cicks

Just got four 2 wk old chicks, Can I let them out in a chicken run or are they too young. Also today here in south florida it is nice warm and sunny,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Thanks Bill

Ideally chicks that age should be kept in a brooder, or a coop outside, with a heat lamp until they are fully feathered and can regulate their body temperature. General guidelines say chicks should be kept at a brooder temperature of around 90-95*F which you lower by around 5* a week until they feathered out. This is just a guide though. The chicks will let you know when they are too hot/cold, so you can let their behaviour guide you also. Here's a good guide on raising chicks from our Learning Center that you can look at:
