I know it's not the best picture but at a glance how many little roos would you say are in this pic

Agree it's too young, especially with Orpingtons. Some of them will fool you even til a few months old.
 
Two of them have pink patches where their wattles will be. Would that be a good sign or do they tend to color up in the face faster than other breeds.
 
I am by no means an experienced backyard flock owner, but have hatched a few Orpingtons in the past 3 years. This breed is slow to mature. What I have observed though is that cockerels will color their combs and wattles earlier independently of the size of their comb.
Your chicks look very cute. I love lavender Orpingtons!
 
At this age, there are no definite cockerels. I would post new photos when the chicks are at least 6-8 weeks old.
