Help! I am new to having baby chicks from a hatchery and I have a sick 2 week old easter egger. She has always been more calm and a little bit of a loner but has been growing just the same. All of a sudden, she is extremely weak, lethargic, will not eat, barely drinks, and will not stand up. She will walk on her hocks if she has too and has even wobbled and flopped to one side. She also doesn't even attempt to struggle when I pick her up. This is day 2 and I noticed her underside has no fluff fur, all bare skin. Could be because she is dragging her body to walk? Her poop has been normal until today. I started her on Durvet Vitamin and Electrolytes and noticed diarrhea today. I'm at a complete loss on what is happening with her. All the other chicks (13 of 14) are rambunctious and show no signs of being ill. I did separate her and have heat lamp, tried raw egg yolk, scrambled eggs, but she won't really eat. Any ideas on what I should do?

Might try corrid. Is the stool bloody? You are doing everything right. Good job on quarantining her from the rest. I will BUMP this for others to see.

I would work in getting her to drink the vitamin mixture by dipping her beak often. Poultry Cell or NutriDrench is very good, and concentrated so that only 1 ml daily is needed. If you think she could be developing supigns of coccidiosis start Corid in the wate, but vitamins would need to be stopped while on it. Corid dosage is 2 tsp per gallon of water of the liquid, or 1.5 tsp of the powder for 5-7 days. Can you post any pictures of her?

There is no blood. She does seem just slightly more awake since yesterday but is also breathing more heavily than before.

Here are some photos.
