2 weeks between eggs

Our hen laid her first eggs about 2 weeks ago. Since the. We had a soft shell egg and then got a hard yesterday and another soft today. Is it normal for the first eggs to be that far spaced.

We do provide oyster shells and layers feed for the hens.

Hi there

Often new layers can take a while the get their egg laying machines in full working order. If she is otherwise healthy and acting normal I would not be too worried about this little blip with her egg laying.
