2 wk old chick can't pass massive poop!

Are you feeding anything else beside chick starter and yogurt?
The vent is pretty swollen so you can apply a little honey or hemorrhoid cream to help reduce the swelling.
Make sure she is drinking plenty of water and you may also want to offer her chick starter wet as well (just add a little water to her feed to make a mash).

You might want to seperate her and feed her wet food so she can pass poop easier. I would soak in Epsom salt it makes the swelling go down. I would also use the rice in the sock idea.

Ok..up to this point I've tried soaking, yogurt, neosporin, and sand. Still having issues. It's poop is huge and it seems like the little one is having alot of trouble expelling it. Just went and got a new heat lamp and some miconazole..keep your fingers crossed! The good news is that Duke (appropriately named by my husband ), is eating & drinking.
