It was unseasonably warm at 90 degrees today. I found my hen in the corner of the run standing up looking dazed. My other chickens came out when I opened the door, she did not. I saw her close her eyes, so I picked her up to take her out and put a bowl of cold water in front of her - she stood still and closed her eyes. I had to dip her beak to help her drink.

I've read this thread about an egg-bound hen.

I checked her insides and found nothing.

I gave her a bit of nutridrench in water, along with a tums crushed up in applesauce. She drank & ate only a few times on her own. She has barely moved. I will be crating her and keeping her separate tonight. I may take her to the vet tomorrow if she does not improve, and hopefully makes it through the night.

My chickens were just dewormed and and treated for cocci this past month. Coop was sprayed for mites as well.

These are my first chickens. I try to read up on as much as I can, but I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

Any advice/help/support is greatly appreciated.

Did they have worms to begin with or did you just worm them without having a fecal done?

What wormer did you use and how much med did you use?

Same for the Coccidiosis..what did you use and how much and for how long?

She did just eat a fair amount of food once I crated her. But it's not like she's low on the pecking order or blocked from food. Hmm.

Ginger made it through the night and is more alert than yesterday, walking around the cage and looking around everywhere. She has several poops in the cage that are white and maybe slightly watery (they're dried now) I'll post them if that helps. I gave her scrambled egg which she ate about half of so far. She is drinking (Corid water) on her own. Thinking of giving her an Epsom salt bath just in case (and perhaps for some pampering and comfort for spending the first night alone)

I just don't know what's wrong?

Positive update !
Thanks for replying @sourland
Of course after I post that she goes back to her sleeping standing up. I don't know if she just got spooked by our basement noises (there's really nowhere else to keep her) and is just like okay I'll sleep. Or she's going back to her thing from yesterday. Ugh.

Since I have her separated and on Corid - should I restart the rest of my flock on Corid? They just finished their last round last week. How long should I keep her separated for? I worry since she's alone, but I guess you can't do much about that.

Sidenote: I changed the thread title because my brain was fried yesterday with all this going on.
