Hello, I have a cat named Scarlett, she is a tuxedo cat and 2 years old. We've had her since she was a kitten. I was just wondering why when she meows, she sounds like a kitten. Will she sound like a grown up cat soon?

We have an adult cat with a baby-sounding mew, too. Our other cat has a very different meow. In fact, hers is a very loud, "gripey," demanding, obnoxious sounding meow. But the bigger cat, who is part Siamese, just has a very soft, high-pitched, tender little mew you can barely hear. Just a difference in vocalizations, I guess.

I imagine if she's 2 years old, the meow she has now is her actual meow.
We have a rough and tough male outdoor cat, and he has the highest pitched baby sounding now. It always cracks me up. He's a very sweet boy.

Just like people animals all have their own unique tones to their voices. Some sound like they never fully matured, some sound hoarse, some more high pitched, some deeper, some squeaky.....I could go on, but if she is 2 years old there won't be much if any change to her tone.
