I have a 2 year old RIR hen that stopped laying several weeks ago. Prior to stopping I found a couple of soft shelled eggs and then what appeared to be what was left of a shelless egg. She is perky and active, eating and drinking are normal, poo normal, no evidence of parasites, no respiratory symptoms, no behavioral changes. She has free access to oyster shell at all times. She molted in the fall and resumed laying in late February then suddenly stopped. With all of this, my research leads me to egg drop syndrome. I would appreciate input from those with more experience than myself.
