2 year silkie has blood in poop

I checked her vent yesterday and she didn't seem to be egg bound - she was pooping blood in her stool yesterday but it was watery. Would she be able to pass anything if she was egg bound? What type of worms could cause this? Should I treat the rest of the flock for worms or coccidiosis?

Pooping just liquid can mean that there is blockage of some type, could be egg, worms, swelling from infection, etc. Is there any way you could send her off for a necropsy or do one yourself? Many States do them for free or a small fee, but if you just want to bury her I understand, that's usually what I do with the ones that I'm attached to.

As for the rest of the flock, I would worm all of them with something like fenbendazole (Safeguard or Panacur, liquid or paste - liquid is cheaper) or albendazole (Valbazen).

I don't think I could do one myself and I don't know of anyone locally that performs them. What could cause her to become ill and die so quickly - she was fine Monday eating and enjoying the warm day we had and then yesterday became droopy and lethargic along with pooping blood and passing away this morning. She had not lost any weight in fact she just got all her fluff in from molting - she seemed to be pretty healthy.

You're lucky, I think Maryland does free necropsies! No need to drive, you can FedEx.
