I am trying to save up enough dough to buy a clear view Genesis Hova-Bator, for next spring.
It costs around $200 bucks

The Hova-bator 1588 seems great so far. I think you'll love it...
I got mine off of eBay with a turner (includes chicken rails) for 159.99 and quail rails (9.99) plus about 18.95 shipping.
The seller's name was sklipper

I don't know if there is a much better price somewhere, but the incubator is fantastic!

Make sure you grab some quail rails

I was looking at those cabinet style incubators like that 1502 sportsman....that would be the dream, lol

As soon as I get the incubator and "Test" out the Bobwhite eggs I am going to get: MORE Bobwhite Quail eggs from BobWhiteQuailLover .. then some Barred Cochin Bantam Eggs, and perhapps some Serama Eggs as well!

I would love some Serama chicks! I have never hatched chickens before, but hope to try perhaps next year when big daddy Cocoa gets to work with his ladies, lol
I need to get an updated photo of him...he looks so glorious now! He's finally practicing his crowing. I hope to buy some Light Brahma hens for him. My local chicken friend out here might have some buff orpington hatching eggs for me, too.

The incubator deal sounds good! It is a good idea to get some practice ones....plus you can get started right away when it arrives more or less!
I had some button eggs from my hens waiting at room temp for the day mine arrived. (My eyes were sparkling that day! lol)

He squeaks? He might need a little oil in the gizzard or something. Mine just sounds like Godzilla on fire. I was just checking out first crows on Youtube.

By the way, type in "Sing it boys quail" on there for a cute button video...there are two actually. Unfortunately there is a dog or something gagging in the background

these are the cutest little things ive ever seen. how big are they at maturity? doyou eat their eggs? do people raise them for meat?

They are about 4 inches long and I dunno how tall they're? I have a big of 'some' in my hand...
You can eat their eggs but they're about the size of an olive!

Raising them for meat would be useless....
