20 days out - 1st incubation

I have 7 now, and 1 that was hatching as I left this morning!! Now, they started hatching day 21 (Tuesday evening). How long do I keep them in there before taking them out? I cannot tell which ones were the first ones??! haha. I am sooo confused!

Thanks!!

Congrats! For me personally I would quickly take any dry ones out and pop them in the brooder. There is always the risk of shrink wrap with opening but if you work quickly you should be fine. I've successfully removed dry ones with others pipped and had no ill effects. But these are your chicks and only you can make the choice to open or not.

Agree with @Yorkshire Coop

It’s certainly your choice but you can wait at least three full days, 72 hours, after the first one hatched to take any out. They absorb the yolk and can live off of that. That’s why they can be mailed.

I think I will grab the ones out really quick that are completely dried off and fluffed out. There was one that hatched late last night, and some that will probably hatch today while i'm at work... I will leave them in there.
