My coop is 5 roos short tonight...and the frig has 20lbs of chicken resting. We processed our extra roos this evening. It wasn't too bad except we used milk jugs for the bleeding out part. Our birds were way too big!

Way to go! Got plans for the 20 lbs. yet? What are your top three "coq" recipes?!

Quote:We just use a clothes line (not for clothes) hang smaller ropes from it with slipknots to put legs in and cull from there, they we have another line for plucking. It works better for us, we bought a cone, but it just doesn't work for us, seems slower and messier. I've never tried the the milk jugs, I would think they would jump out when the do the final death throw. Michele
