We bought Rhode Island Redsback in March and still we have no eggs. They get layer feed daily and they free range during the day. I kept them pe ned up this week just in case they were laying out in the yard. Any thoughts?

I bought my RIR in early March and just this week, one has started to lay, but she still isn't laying every day. Just be patient. Make sure you have good private nesting boxes, 1 box for every 3 chickens and sooner than later, you will be getting eggs.

I’ve had two RIR and they both started around 20-21 weeks. Have you checked pelvic bone placement? Is she squatting?
