20 week old silkies

So the blue one has been squatting when we approach to pick her up. Silkies are frustrating! Good thing they are so flipping cute :barnie
 
Whelp... Update. 22 weeks and 1 day... and the blue silkie we were concerned about being a roo... just laid an egg!!!

The white and black have shown no interest in laying yet. still very little comb development. They both move like pullets, But until I get a crow or egg... :lau
 
And we just got another silkie egg today! 80% sure it was the black one, and I say that because it was in a nesting.box when I opened the coop his morning, and the white one was still on the roost :p so 2 down and one to go!!
Any update? :fl Are these hatchery stock or breeder quality? Beautiful birds nonetheless :cool:

They are from My Pet Chicken, so breeder stock. The white is still neither crowing nor squatting and we are almost at 27 weeks. But the blue is a little egg powerhouse. an egg a day for a week then a day off to rest 😁

I wish silkies didn't take so long to lay 😥 but I'm glad at least one is a powerhouse!
