Thanks so much everyone!! Im really thinking about going up right now on the mountain behind my place for an evening hunt but dont know. When i shot her the arrow was originally going right behind the shoulder....she ducked and turned into the shot.....so it hit the beginning of her shoulder...arrow still got good depth and she only went 70yds...hit good vitals!

Sam Was hopen the temps would drop a bit,,hate doing afternoon hunts in the afternoon when its so warm out..Bugs are 2 fold right now in the woods.. Hopin for cooler temps...

LOL...yah your husband has the right idea...I try to get out as much as possible! Well looks like Im going to be the only one eating this delicious roast...anyone want to come over lol.

Good catch! I've never gone hunting and was thinking to get into it for food. However... I'll have to figure out if I like the taste before I go get 100lbs of meat that I might not like to eat! Or worse 200lbs!!!

LOL the doe field dressed at 100lbs...I only got maybe 30lbs of meat off her.
Deer dont have too much meat on them...mostly hind quarters and loins.

I would think you would have got more than 30 pounds of meat off a 100 pound field dressed deer.
We got four last year. My eight year old son killed two and my wife got two (with her van). i was the only one shut out.
Youth season opens this weekend so I will be following my son around and hopefully help him get another one.
