2009 Quilt block of the month - February

Oh, SE, I love the block just like it is.

Good job. And it even has a flutterby in it. I like flutterbies.

Beautiful quilt, Beth.

I spent 5 or 6 hours cutting fabric today. I sure hope this swap continues for a long while or I will have a lot of pieces left over.

Patience, Skand...you'll get there. Years ago, when I was starting out, you can bet my first blocks weren't so perfect. Some people just have a "knack".

Well I got the corners the first time. Yay. lol Even the lady at church that refuses to use a machine to do quilts could not believe that I was showing her my first ever block. "You mean to tell me you have NEVER done these before? Look at those corners! You do them better then I do and Ive been doing this for 40-someodd + years!"
All I could do was bow my head and blush! Now that's a compliment!

Now see?!?! I'm sure it is quite lovely! We are always are worst critics.

Many times I wish that was all I had to pack from my hobbies.

I have about 5 times that amount of fabric, yarn, supplies, books/magazines, etc. (hopefully by the next time we move, I will have it decreased greatly. I'm sick of moving and packing/unpacking so much stuff).

Thanks! Lol... I've had that tote for years. My mom wrote my name on it forever ago!

Amy, that's just the quilting stuff... I have a bunch of other craft stuff that's not in that pile!

Chuck, for now the purple room is going to be the office/sewing room, but a few kids down the road - my sewing stuff is probably going to be moved into the basement. It will be my hideout then!

I got some stuff in the mail this morning finally! Arabookworm and Amyquilt ought to be getting some packages hopefully later this week.
