2009 Quilt block of the month - February

One pound of fabric is approximately 3 to 3.5 yards.

Now that I can understand

Did you know there is a Skull and Crossbones Fabric
And one called Diamond Rainbow

lol those would look cool, if you could keep it from looking cheesy halloweeny

A fat quarter is 1/4 yard of fabric. Instead of cutting 9" by the WOF (width of fabric), the full yard is cut, then opened up and cut in half vertically and horizontally, getting still 1/4 yard of fabric, by measuring approximately 18" x 21" making it more usable than the 9xWOF.

HTH!

Halloweeny isnt cheesy, but cheesy is cheesy! lol
You could do a quilt and have it for halloween time. But a cool gothy quilt wouldnt look as out of place as halloween in march. lol

Well in the morning mail was the February issue of Quilter's World.

Here are some of the fabric sites from the magazine:

www.craftconn.com (Coupon Code for 10% off one order in magazine QWF7HC)

Forgot to put that in earlier, Sorry!

www.northcott.com

www.speedstitch.com (Sulky Threads website)

www.quiltyard.com

www.quiltingtreasures.com

www.clotilde.com

www.the-sampler.com

www.myBlueBamboo.com

Browse away, gang. Some of them have specials and sales going on right now, and for those of you that are hesitant about your sewing abilities, especially quilting I suggest a subscription to Quilter's World magazine. They have several different patterns each issue from beginners to expert, plus they have patterns in the back of the magazine for cut out's to help with the quilts.
