2009 Quilt block of the month - February

I have been so bad. I already have written down the 12 people listed after my name and their preferences. I have also selected my blocks. Even with my substantial stash I have been shopping online for fabric. My unsubstantial bank account is the only thing keeping me in control. I should just use this swap as a stash buster!

Is it orange, by chance? cause if so, then I'll request the rest to be color coordinating. lol

Well it started out looking like the blaze orange but by the time I washed it a thousand times it came out pumpkin color

I'm so BUMMED. I just finished a block with the moda, and ironed it, looked closer, and I got tooooo dang close on one of the seams..... so its in the darn MIDDLE of the block and the fabric didn't get sewn

Take a needle and thread and carefully hand stitch the seam, just fold your seam allowances under and press and stitch.

Suddenly Chuck has gotten a nak for sewing or either he is getting tips from his wife.

If I hand sewed it - it would pucker and mess up the overall look. The block is made of 4x smaller blocks... I'm so annoyed! Grrrrrrrr Its between the blues where the stitching didn't catch the one strip properly.

Here it is, cruddy photo bad lighting but....

Yes the 9 square is probably the easiest.

Yes of course you can join! (mike's still here

Yes the sender/maker decides what style, the receiver requests colors/tone's etc..
Only 1 square per month.
