2009 Quilt block of the month - February

CW & Acres those are really beaatiful. Wish I had one to snuggle up under with the furkids with right now. I hate the cold and tomorrow is going to be even colder yet! My furnace is still out, waiting on a part or something for it. I have a couple of space heaters to heat the house, and the babies are warm enough in their brooder. Feel like I'm back in Pioneer days!

Thank you all for the comments. I can't wait until it is completely finished.

I am sorry to hear about your situation Chuck, but you can use this as a training tool so when we do have to go back to the old ways.

We had horrible issues last year with our heating thang. We waited MONTHS for the stupid company - they had been here and given a quote, then everytime I called them there was one excuse after another - some old folks had no heat they had to take care of that first, then a mom with two kids had no heat and they had to take care of that first. Never mine WE have two kids and had ice on the INSIDE of our windows.
I finally told them to.......................................... and called another guy, kinda a handy man doing his own little business, he was here the next day, went off, ordered the thang we needed, and within a week he was back putting it in.

OK FRChuckW I hope you like your block. The crazy block is my favorite block to do. If don't like it I'll make something eles

Well the problem is that they have had to shut the gas off because of the leak, so I have no hot water except what I heat on a propane stove. If I could at least use one of the two fireplaces it wouldn't be so bad, but I can't use them because of the chimney issues with them. Now the Gas company wants to change out the meter as well before they turn the gas back on and the furnace is fixed. OH well such is life, at least the feathered and fur kids are being kept warm. And at least I still have the electricity on. Now I know how people in Alaska feel!

Acres, I have already started to prepare for when we go back to Pioneer days! If I ever get my own farm, I will have it geared for wind and solar and water power!
