This is the little pin cushion Acres sent to me. It went RIGHT to work on the block I was working on this morning.

KIDDING - we'll use something like AA, AB, AC, AD, AE etc.

I haven't been around all day - I missed y'all! I woke up and started was starting supper in the crock pot when I got to feeling so dizzy and sick that I had to lay down for a bit. I ended up staying home from work. It sucks... I wasn't in any shape to accomplish much anything most of the day! I did, however, manage to get some new fabric so I can give my block for Arabookworm another go. It won't be exactly the same fabrics, but since she seemed to like the block, I'll keep it the same one. I also like that it is based on an Ohio star, since that's the state I'm from!

Wow... everyone made beautiful blocks!

Jody - I love your color choices! They look great together, all bright and cheery!

Chicken Women - I've always wanted to try to make some of those. My mom still has a quilt that my great-grandmother made in that pattern. Your blocks are beautiful!

Wildsky, I love that pattern and your color choices for it! The pincushion Acre sent you is adorable, too!

It's snowing like crazy here - they're calling for 12" tonight.

So, that changes my plans for tomorrow (had some old friends to meet up with). I'll miss getting to visit with them, but that also means I have ALL DAY to work on blocks and hopefully get started on DH's grandma's quilt!

Do you have the flu ?

I also have a grandmothers flower garden quilt that is very old. That is what inspired me to start on a quilt of my own. The blocks are all hand pieced. I thought it would be nice to share a couple of them so thats why I applicaid them to muslin. The quilt IM working on is actually has all the blocks attached by a butter yellow. I am only half done and I have been working on it a year. It takes along time to hand piece. I plan to hand quilt it as well so it will be awhile.

Hope your feeling well soon.
