I am almost ready to post a pick of my block for Acres. Everyone has to promise not to judge it too harshly!

This is the first time in a decade that I have made a quilt block. (My first since I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.) Gosh, it sounds like I'd make up anything for an excuse, eh???

And, I really hate to complain, but it hit 80 degrees here in the beautiful high desert of New Mexico today. Where's that husband of mine to wipe the sweat off of my brow.....and bring me another corona and lime?????

I have another Question....I was going thru my old books/mags for a pattern I wanted to use, and every finished block was 12" or 16" ????



How do I fix that? Please don't give any math directions

Or, do I add a border? Nah, that doesn't sound good, maybe my patterns are passe'
and I need to look elsewhere..? Or is 12" OK? Sorry, don't mean to be a pain in the butt.

But I am MOTIVATED !

It probably means a 12" finished block, which is 12.5" unfinished.

It's not a very good pic because my DD kept putting her arms back behind her back, which in turn made half the fabric go back with them! LOL! You know how that goes.

Anyways, after trying to get a decent pic 5 different times, I've just decided this is going to be the best I can do for a pic.
