**2009 Quilt Block Swap for JULY**

That is so true, Scrambled. But don't sell yourself short. The blocks I've gotten from you are so neat, in both meanings of the word. I wonder if I will ever make it. I try to be so precise and I continue to fall short...a corner here, a seam allowance there.

I'll keep trying though.

Scrambled, you are so funny girl. Thanks for the compliments but you do way more stuff than I can, you do those chickens and dressin plates.

Everyone has been doing so great, I love every block I have ever gotten. I see so many making leaps and bounds in their blocks.

Keep up the great work.

I have some christmas fabrics I think I will experiment with making the dresdens with the pointed ends...the only difference in what I've been doing is that I won't be able to sew interfacing to the front and flip the circle, the ends will have to be sewn down with top stitching. I like the look though. Has anyone seen a pattern for those old grandma looking dresdens that were a bit curved in the center? I would like to try that too but don't know what it's called to find a pattern, seems Cookadoodlemom found a bunch of half made ones in that stash she inherited fromone of her relatives, Mom or Aunt, but she called them dresden's too as I remember. They must have a different name though as I cannot find them under dresden, they look just like what Ive been doing but curve the center of each piece of the plate instead. Anyhow, if anyone knows, I'd appreciate your sharing

Scrambled....Joann's has a Dresden Plate template that looks very durable. I don't know if it is the size you want but it has the circle and the curved spoke too.
