**2009 Quilt Block Swap for JUNE**

I think your block would make a great quilt. That blue will make a great second pattern in the block and the pinwheels will look great too.

Piecemaker: Great chicken fabric. You could do some fussy cut blocks with a few of those birds to mix with your random blocks to tie the back and front together.....lots of ideas!!!!!!

Thank you I love that pattern. I always wanted to make it but didn't think I could. And I love the soap. My DS was smelling it and said OH that smells like strawberrys. He just loves them he wouldn't put them down. He wanted to know if he could keep them. I had to tell him no. He has ADHD and if he used them and they were gone then he would be crying for days. It was so funny watching him. Thank you so much for the patten and soap. Did you make the soap too?

Well lady's and gent's. I am making my block this week and then I won't be on here for a while. I have to do 24 hours of continuing education before July. So I'm going to work on that next week so I can get my fall blocks done. If I don't get this done I can't sell insurance. I ordered the book and I will be reading and reading then I need to take a text and someone needs to watch me take the test so I don't cheat. It's not like I really sell any insurance, no one is buying any it costs too much. LOL

I'm glad you like the block, my husband approved it before I sent it and he's very critical, lol! That dresden circle is def. my favorite!! I am using that pattern for a Christmas quilt for my son's girlfriend, it's turning out sooooo pretty!! I love that it's pieced and appliqued so I get all the cricel pieces cut and put together and then sew interfacing to it and flip it and my raw edges are covered and turned, easy peasy and pretty!! I cut did 4 of them in half for the "grandmother's fan" to use in the corners. That will be my nightly project for another few weeks and then I have so many other things on my Christmas list to get done. I really should be getting my kahlua and other home made hooches made since they get better and better as they sit. And yes, I made the soap, will have to make that again in a huge amount too before Christmas and that will mean ordering alot of glycerin and more fragrances....soooooo mnay things to do and sooooo little time, lol! Speaking of time, gotta get a shower and get ready for work, have a great day everyone

I got a bunch of new fabric today! We went to a garage sale where a lady was selling a bunch of her fabric! It was all priced around $1/yard.

I got some nice stuff. I also got a bunch of Christmas themed fabric already cut into squares... I am thinking those will make nice potholders for me to sell! Anyway, just excited about all the fabric I got for $20.

This part wasn't in the instruction manual.

Yes, that instruction manual isn't thick enough!

I've been working on fall blocks too and going thru my fabrics for my sil. She makes quilts for hospitols for babies and children. I have so much material for baby quilts and so little storage room....if I give her fabric, I have room for more material....another reason to go shopping!
