Well after all these years of trying to get off for this( I drive a school bus), I am finally able too..I will be bringing extra chicken saddles and diapers that I sell here on BYC..

What a bunch of us cavers do...when we have large get- togethers for potluck is share the side and bring your own meat to grill. (BYOB, BYOM)

That usually means that there is grill available on site.

I don't mind bringing a few pounds of Opa's sausage to share- would there be grill to warm them up on?
How do I find directions? I click on Carla's link...but I don't see a map?

Yes, we have a grill, but not big enough for everyone to cook on. I need to survey what everyone wants to do about food.

I usually don't post directions until closer to the event. Will also put information on my BYC Page soon !

I think potluck would work! Just make sure folks bring their foods in dishes they can dispose of without any problems..i.e. foil or the disposable plastic ones? They sell fairly cheap at walmart and grocery stores.

I'll bring some fried chicken and a gallon or two of somethin to drink.

Would it help if we brought our own dinnerware (plates, forks, cups, napkins, etc) ??

speaking of biscuits, Instead of drinks I will bring biscuits. I was thinking, If I toted a couple gallons of anything in my truck for a couple hours, what are the chances that, with my driving, the containers will not spill? Not that I'm a bad driver, I just forget when I have liquids to take corners more,....ahhh...generously

I vote for pot-luck- bring your own plates/utensils and side dish.
I like the idea of Chicken theme...
I could bring a few pounds of chicken sausage (Buddy's) instead of Opa's.
