Also Cheryl, you cannot bring any animals of any kind (poultry included) to the party, the zoo has a strict no animal policy on the grounds.

Folks, we're in need of charcoal for the party this weekend.

Can anyone bring along a bag?

I plan on picking up a few different kinds of sausages for any kids that are going to be at the party, I haven't checked the food spreadshet lately but if anyone else is planning to use the grill at the site we'll need charcoal for sure!

Hey all, I need to sell Norbert! One Purebred White Ameraucana young rooster!

Norbert is a hand-raised rare white Ameraucana rooster (from esteemed Ameraucana breeder John Blehm) who is a very sweet dude! Has been picked up all his life and sits on my knee. Is doing his business with the gals, and he also fended off a hawk attack while protecting his ladies this week! (No birds hurt!)

For sale with Norbert are two Silver (Blehm) Ameraucana pullets! Make a small AM flock for yourself??
PM me if you are interested. We could meet on the way to the picnic to do the sale. I see Jeremy has posted that no birds can come in to the Zoo, so we'd have to figure it out before hand.

I love him! He is trained to walk up the ramp for treats, and sits quietly as I haul him around in my arms. BUT, I need to bring my flock down to manageable size before bad weather hits, and decided to keep Lil' Joe as my one roo so I can continue to get Splash Marans purebred babies, and also use him to make Olive eggers with the wheatie girls. Of the three cockerels I got from that March bunch, I only kept Norbert because he was so, so sweet and gorgeous. He can't really help me with any breeding program, so I was just being selfish. Sigh. Since he is so gorgeous, I would actually love for him to go (without the silver girls) to someone who has white AM females and they want him for breeding.

I have a beautiful White pullet that I brought home last weekend, if I could bring Norbert home I would! I hope you find a good home for him.

Could we switch the photo time around, so that it would be after the raffle? I think a few of us said we couldn't stay until 4 p.m. (I'm one of them) and would appreciate an earlier group photo time.

Regarding raffle - I believe last time we did adults only (as many people have many kids) and 5 tickets each. Is that good with everyone one. This is a door prize raffle - so no one has to buy tickets, just show up!

On that note, Chooklet (Dyann) yesterday had rotator cup surgery and can't make the party, but she wants to win the greenfire eggs!

How does everyone feel if she gets her 5 tickets for her VIRTUAL presence? She'll donate a bottle of wine! (or is wine, also not allowed?)

FYI Greenfire shipping eggs today, I'll keep them cool and rotating and bring them on Saturday in a cooler.
